Comet Pojmanski cataloged as
C/2006 A1, was discovered on
January 2nd, 2006 by Grzegorz
Pojmanski of Warsaw University
Astronomical Observatory in Poland.

At the time this image was taken the
comet was a little over 76 Million
miles away from Earth and hurtling
Away from us at 300,000 MPH.

This image was the best I could do
as it was still very low on the horizon
for imaging.  As you can see the
brightness of the sky in the East is
not only from an impending sunrise,
but the glow of New York
City.  Neighborhood trees did not
assist either.
